James Meehan - Class Act

Just The Tonic at The Tron (Venue 51),

Saturday 6th August, 18.20

8/10

DARKCHAT like their sketch comedy and having seen Gein's Family gift Shop in Cardiff earlier this year I had already

earmarked them a place in this year's spreadsheet. Although I was disappointed they aren't attending this year's festival

I was keen to see James Meehan's 1st solo show.

Having failed an audition to play a part he thought he was perfect for James ( Jim) was convinced he was a victim of

classism within the entertainment industry. This was his starting point for an hour of edgy political material about the

status of the working class in 21st century Britain.

We live in turbulent times and these are important issues but Jim never forgets this is a comedy show and makes his

points in genuinely funny fashion.

Lots of hour long stand-up shows have periods that sag and you can feel the energy level of the audience drop.

This is NOT one of those shows.  If you fancy 60 minutes of relevant comedy which NEVER succumbs to the rant

head to see Jim at The Tron. You won't regret it.

James Meehan - Class Act plays daily until Aug 28 (not 15th)

at Just The Tonic at The Tron (Venue 51)
